The Role

Executive Role:

  • Preparation of annual accounts on behalf of the PGM, Executive and the Province
  • Preparation and monitoring of budgets on behalf of the above
  • Monitoring and payment of all expenses within the Province
  • ‘Live’ reporting on all Provincial financial positions to the PGM and his Executive
  • Setting of Provincial fees in line with forward planning budgeting
  • Preparation of annual Invoices on behalf of the Province, and distributing to Lodges
  • Advanced planning and budgeting of any events including festivals
  • Financial control and oversight of the Provincial Year Book
  • Management of Payroll of any employed staff within the Province
  • Ensuring that all Provincial assets are adequately insured and protected

Lodge Support Role:

  • The initial point of contact for any lodge Treasurers experiencing financial concern
  • In association with the Provincial Office staff, to act as a liaison with lodges regarding payment of fees
  • The conduit between lodges and Grand Lodge should any financial concern require further assistance
  • To act as a sounding board to give Lodge Treasurers, or in their absence, the Lodge Committee
  • To ensure that all rules pertinent to the Book Of Constitutions are properly adhered to
  • To regularly update the Lodge Treasurer’s Handbook
